  		William Francis Berg Chuck tells me in an e-mail dated 25 Jun 2008, "This picture taken 1945 or before. I have not located the original which would be B & W. I may find it some day. It was probably cropped from a snapshot and tinted by the studio. It is the companion to the photo of my father (next scan). When he died we had no photos of him. My mother had the local photographer work with 2 or 3 snapshots and compose a portrait, tint it and make a very few copies ( 2 or 3). She obviously had this 'portrait' made at the same time and had them placed in a double frame which I possess. The photo may be older and was selected so both would be from the same time period. Or a new one may have been taken or it was selected for aesthetic reasons. I believe I have seen the B & W which was composed for my fathers 'portrait'. It would have been taken from a picture where he was wearing Mechanics overalls or other work garb. And no tie."
  		Firestone Tire Shipment In an e-mail dated 25 Jun 2008, Chuck Berg says, "Shows store at 45 E. Main ST., Fredonia[, NY]. The business later moved to the building next door, 41 - 43 E. Main St. I am not sure when this picture was taken or who owned the business at that time. It was either my gf, Charles J., or my father, Wm. F. Berg."
